The Student Assessment &Testing Office serves as a test center for universities or agencies that offer correspondence courses.
Who can take a correspondence exam?
Correspondence test services are offered to students who need to take tests from other schools or agencies. Both paper-pencil and computer-based (CBT) formats are available.
• Step 1: Request that your test be sent to UTEP Student Assessment & Testing
The student must request that the test be sent to the Student Assessment & Testing Office at The University of Texas at El Paso. Allow at least one week for your test to arrive before calling to register. The test should be mailed to:

• Step 2: Register for a test session
Contact the Correspondence Testing Coordinator at UTEP to reserve a seat by dialing (915)747-6633 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Registration is required.
Refer to the test schedule for dates and times. Correspondence tests may also be scheduled by appointment on an individual basis for an additional fee.
• Step 3: On the day of the test
Report to the Student Assessment &Testing Office 15 minutes early for check-in. If you arrive late, you may not be admitted.
• Step 4: Payment Procedures
Upon arrival for your exam, you will be required to pay the test administration fee of $20. The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The test administration fee for an off-schedule test is $45. Payment may be made in our office using cash, money order, or personal check.
You may also pay online with a credit card. If you paid online with a credit card, refer to your confirmation email and locate the reference number; you will need the reference number when you arrive to sit for the exam.
You will be required to present an official identification card with a current photo.

The following National Tests are not administered at the Student Assessment & Testing office. Informational bulletins can be picked up in our office during the day. For further information please contact the Prometric Center at (915) 842-7500.
